Welcome to East Tampa Christian Church! We are so glad you are considering taking the first steps in becoming a Christian.

The first step in becoming a Christian is to hear the message of the Gospel. This message is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth to die for our sins and to rise again, offering us the gift of eternal life. As the Bible says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

The next step is to believe in Jesus and what He did for us. This means putting our faith and trust in Him as our Lord and Savior. As the Bible says in Romans 10:9, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

The third step is to repent of our sins. This means turning away from our old ways and asking for forgiveness. As the Bible says in Luke 13:3, "I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

The fourth step is to confess Jesus as Lord. This means publicly declaring our faith in Him and what He has done for us. As the Bible says in Romans 10:10, "For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

The fifth step is to be baptized. This is an outward symbol of the inward change that has taken place in our hearts. As the Bible says in Mark 16:16, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned."

And finally, the sixth step is to remain faithful to the end. This means continuing to follow Jesus and grow in our faith throughout our lives. As the Bible says in Matthew 10:22
